Each year the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners gives a National award to one general practice chosen from across Australia in recognition of their approach to patients’ health and well being. The Award criteria takes into account a number of factors including services offered to patients, health promotion initiatives in place, provision of high quality care and involvement in general practice training.

This award is one of several given by the RACGP each year. There are clear criteria and a standardised process documented in the Awards of Council. Nominations for this award must come from at least 2 sources and are anonymous unless the nominator chooses to reveal him/herself. We are most grateful for the efforts of whoever made application on our behalf. It was most unexpected but very much appreciated.
While we continue to strive to make our service even more relevant, useful and appropriate for our patients and local community, we are grateful for all the positive feedback to this point. As we move into a larger premises, we will continue to value the input and constructive criticism of all those who use our services.
