Food Allergies

Food allergies are common in Australia. Early introduction, before 12 months of age, of foods that commonly cause allergy has been shown to reduce the risk of babies developing food allergy.
Foods associated with allergy include egg, peanut, cow’s milk (dairy), tree nuts (such as cashew or almond), soy, sesame, wheat, fish, and other seafood.

For more information see the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA) website or talk with your GP.
