Why do we ask for your Medicare Card at each appointment?
It is important your personal information is up to date, including a valid Medicare card, before you see your Doctor. Each time your Medicare card is replaced, new person added (or removed), or new card issued after expiry, the card number will change.
If we do not have the valid information on file, your claim will be rejected and you may have to pay the full consultation fee.
We understand at times you may not have your Medicare card on you when you visit our practice. We do accept photos or alternatively you are able to download it from Medicare www.my.gov.au.
